As the saying goes: a penny saved is a penny earned. However, if you don’t have a single penny left in your account at the end of the month because you simply can’t resist spending, you’ll find it hard to ever save up for what you’ve wanted for so long. Here are a few tips on how to start saving.
Set aside money immediately
As soon as your paycheck hits your account, set aside a specific amount (one you can manage to cut back on in your expenses) and put it, for example, in an envelope labeled with your dream. After that, don’t count on that amount anymore; simply act as if your paycheck were shorter by the amount you set aside. Do this every month, and you’ll see how the envelope fills up with money in no time.

Fifty-Crown Coins
Some people save by setting aside fifty-koruna coins. Every time a fifty-koruna coin lands in their wallet, they put it into a special piggy bank. Simply put, don’t spend the fifty-koruna coins—save them.
Sell
Sell everything you no longer use or that’s useless to you, and put all the money you earn toward your savings.

Part-time job
Try to find a small part-time job, even if it’s just for two days a month, and set aside the earnings. It’s extra money you can save. For example, you could offer to work weekends at your favorite bar or provide cleaning services.
Be Creative
If you’re even a little bit creative, you can make something that people will be happy to buy from you, adding extra money to your savings.
Savings Account
Although money in a savings account grows very slowly, it does grow. You can open a savings account and set it up so that a specific amount is transferred directly every day of the month, ideally a few days after you receive your paycheck.
Piggy bank
The ideal money box is one from which you can’t remove money from the bottom—and preferably not even with tweezers. Once you put money in there, you won’t be able to get it out until you break the box. That way, you’ll learn not to count on the money you’ve set aside.
